Access DepthXR in AR/VR

The steps provided will help you understand how to sign into your DepthXR headset using a unique PIN, so you can immerse yourself in your project space along with your team members.

Steps to Collaborate in DepthXR

Step 1: Login to DepthXR Web Platform

To begin, navigate to the DepthXR web platform and sign in using your unique username and password. If you do not have an account, you’ll need to register one first.

Step 2: Create Your Project and Space

After signing in, the next step is to create your project and designate your virtual space. This will be your interactive area where you and your team can collaborate

Start with creating your project and giving it a name.

To create a project click on the three horizontal lines (burger like icon), and then choose add project from the drop down menu.

A window will popup, requesting you to give your project a name.

When your project is created, you can then a space inside the project. To do so, click on the “Create Space” button on the right of your screen. A window will popup requesting you to name the space, and upload a 3D file from your library.

Once your space is uploaded, you can see it in the project dashboard. If you click on the play button of the space, you will be able to navigate the space using your keybaord from any device. Controller from laptop or desktop: navigation arrows (up, down, left, right), or A = Left, D- right, W= front, S= Back, Q= Up, E=down.

You can have different several spaces inside the same project.

Step 3: Get Your Device PIN

Once your project and space have been created, click on the three horizontal dots near the play button associated with your space, and then click on the “view on devices” button.

You will be then presented with a secure, 4-digit device PIN. This PIN is unique to your space and expires after a few minutes. Make sure to note down the PIN before proceeding to the next step.

Step 4: Login to Your Device

Now it’s time to put on your VR or AR headset. Supported devices include the Oculus Quest, Meta Quest Pro, or HoloLens. Navigate to the following URL: https://XR.DepthXR.com.

Step 5: Enter Your PIN

Upon reaching the XR.DepthXR.com page, click on “Start AR” or “Start VR” button depending on the device you have, then enter the 4-digit PIN that was generated for you on the depthxr web platform. Once you’ve entered the PIN, you will be transported into your virtual / augmented space.

Step 6: Collaborate with Your Team

Congratulations, you’re now inside your DepthXR space! From here, you can interact with your team, collaborate on projects, and engage in an immersive AR/VR experience.
