To use the visibility feature, users can click on visibility which will show you a menu of the space objects where you can select an object or group of objects and the menu option to hide or show them.

Info:

View BIM Information

The “view BIM information” feature in DepthXR may allow users to access and view the BIM information that was imported from the model if available. Users may select an object in their virtual environment and view its BIM data in a panel. This data may include details such as the object’s name, type, size, location, and other relevant attributes. Overall, the “view BIM information” feature in DepthXR is a useful feature for accessing and reviewing detailed information about the objects and components in a virtual environment. It can help users to better understand the design of a project, to identify and resolve any issues or conflicts, and to communicate more effectively with other members of the project team.

Group:

Group / Ungroup Objects

To use the “group and ungroup objects” feature, users can select the group option from the menu then select the group of objects to group them together. Once objects are grouped, they can be treated as a single entity, making it easier to move, rotate, or scale them as a unit. To ungroup objects, users can typically select a group and use a ungroup menu option to break it apart into its individual components. This can be useful for making changes to specific objects within a group, or for working with them independently of the group.

Tour:

Create or Take a Tour

It is a feature that allows users to create and view guided tours of a virtual environment. This can be useful for presenting or demonstrating a project to clients or stakeholders, or for simply exploring and learning about a project in a more structured and interactive way. To create a tour, users can select this option and move around the space while taking snapshots to specify the paths and locations that the tour should visit. Once the tour is created, it is saved for any other users to use it. To take a tour, users can typically select the tour from the tour menu and follow the path or steps provided by the tour.

Library:

Open Assets Library

The assets library is a collection of models, pictures, and videos that users can upload into the platform and use to build and populate their virtual environments. These assets might include things like furniture, appliances, landscaping elements, lighting fixtures, and other elements that are commonly used in architecture, design, and construction projects. To use assets from the library, users can select an asset and drag it into the virtual environment.

People:

Manage People

The manage people feature allows you to see a list of users name that are currently available in the space. One aspect of the people manager feature is the ability to mute or unmute your microphone if necessary. Another aspect of the people manager feature is the ability to gather people to your location. This can be useful for bringing one person or everyone together in a virtual space to your location. Overall, the “people manager” feature in DepthXR is a useful feature for managing and controlling the participation and interactions of other users in a virtual or augmented environment. It can help users to create a more organized and focused collaborative experience, and to communicate more effectively with other members of the project team.

Note:

Add a Notes

The “adding notes” feature in DepthXR is a feature that allows users to add text-based annotations to the virtual environment. This can be useful for adding comments, instructions, or other types of information to the environment. To use the adding notes feature, users can typically click on the notes icon from the menu to bring up a text entry field. The feature provides a keyboard to allow users to type their notes, and a speech-to-text functionality that allows users to dictate their notes using their voice. Once a note is added, it may be displayed in the virtual environment as a text label, and it is stored to be accessed through a separate view if needed. The user can also customize the appearance of the notes through the other features if needed. Overall, the adding notes feature in DepthXR is a useful feature for adding comments, instructions, or other types of information to the virtual or augmented environment. It can help users to better communicate and collaborate on projects, and to keep track of important details and tasks within the environment.

Measure:

Measurement Tape

The measurement tape functionality in DepthXR is a feature that allows users to measure distances within the virtual environment. This can be useful for accurately and efficiently determining the size of any object in the environment, and for identifying and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise. To use the measurement tape functionality, users can typically select the measure option to initiate the measurement from the menu then a starting point and an ending point in the environment. The platform will then display a virtual tape measure that shows the distance between the two points.

Paint:

Paint Objects

The “paint objects” feature in DepthXR is a feature that allows users to change the appearance of objects in the virtual environment by applying different colors, or textures to them. This can be useful for visualizing different design options or for simply adding more visual interest or realism to the environment. To use the paint objects feature, users can select the Paint menu option to bring up a palette of available colors, and textures then select an object in the environment. The textures available are the ones that the user imported from the DepthXR web interface to their project.

Mass:

Create Objects

The “create object” feature in DepthXR is a feature that allows users to create and place 3D masses or free form 3D rectangles objects in the virtual environment using their controllers. This can be useful for quickly and intuitively building, desigining, and populating the environment with objects and elements that are relevant to the project or design being worked on. To use the create object feature, users can typically select the feature from a menu and then use both their controllers to manipulate a 3D mass or rectangleor to shape and form the object they want to create. Once the form is created users can the paint it, move it, or scale it with the other features in their disposal. Overall, the create object feature in DepthXR is a useful feature for building and populating the virtual or augmented environment with objects and elements that are relevant to the project being worked on. It can help users a powerful way to create 3d objects in their scene.
